Annabel Neasham expressed her joy at Learning To Fly’s recent trial performance, as the Group 2 Reisling Stakes (1200m) victor took a significant stride towards her comeback in the Group 2 Light Fingers Stakes (1200m) at Randwick on February 17.

Neasham shared her enthusiasm on RSN927, stating, “She’s been great. She’s come back bigger and stronger, and she looks awesome.

“She’ll have another one (trial) before hopefully kicking off in the Light Fingers.”

Neasham confirmed that the Group 1 Surround Stakes (1600m) is firmly on the agenda for her classy filly.

“The obvious target is the Surround Stakes – she’s a Group 2 winner and won the Inglis Millennium, but she hasn’t won a Group 1 yet.

“I’ve always thought the world of her, and I see no reason why she couldn’t match it with the older horses as well.”

Learning To Fly has not been seen since dislodging Chad Schofield when competing in the Group 1 Golden Slipper (1200m) on March 18, 2023.

Prior to that, Learning To Fly had secured victory in the Inglis Millennium (1100m) and Group 2 Reisling Stakes (1200m).

In futures markets with top horse racing bookmakers, Learning To Fly is a $34.00 chance in The Quokka (1200m) and priced at $51.00 in The Everest (1200m).
