Little Mix wins the Good Friday Appeal Trophy
Winning Trainer: Annabel Neasham
"I have to say, full credit to all the team in all the stables, she's been in Sydney, she's been up to Queensland and now she's been back down here, she can be a bit of a handful at home I have to say well done to Joe Waldron who's been riding her down here, to be honest I was a little bit worried she'd come to the end of it, she's been pretty fresh and a bit over the top at home but Blake's world class.
"He just got her into a beautiful rhythm, probably a little bit further back than we thought but she just got a beautiful run and she's got that wonderful turn of foot.
"I think she would have taken a lot of confidence from that win in Brisbane and fair play to Brae Sokolski, he picked this race out.
"Blake is so good at getting them to settle."
Winning Jockey: Blake Shinn
"It unfolded how I'd hoped. Just got into a nice spot. The key was to get the horse a little bit closer than Brisbane but she can pull a bit - a bit fiery - and I had to get that happy medium.
"She settled lovely for me. I was following Hoops and got a cart into the race. I exposed her what I thought was the right time and the run presented. She was strong to the line.
"The second horse as challenging but she pulled out enough. Fantastic."
Winning Good Friday Appeal race: "Yeah definitely, Annabel presented this horse in wonderful order, they picked the race out for her, she just had a lovely run in transit, it's a big thrill to win for Annabel and a good friend of mine Brae Sokolski, he's supported me for a long time and it's just very special to win a race in this honour, supporting the Good Friday Appeal, we got here early and seen all the kids who have been battling throughout their lives and it's great to win this special race."
