EXCLUSIVE: Annabel Neasham mare picks up slot in The Everest
Trainer Annabel Neasham will have her first starter in the TAB Everest after revealing Sunshine In Paris has been selected for the $20m race.
Neasham told News Corp that slot holder Aquis had successfully negotiated a deal with Sunshine In Paris's owner John Camilleri to run in the world's richest turf race at Randwick on October 14.
Neasham said it was "exciting" to have her first starter the TAB Everest
"Sunshine In Paris has pulled up really well after Saturday's win," Neasham revealed.
"Our plan now is to keep the mare fresh and happy and she will go straight into the Everest without another start.
"I fear if I ran her again before the Everest it could take the speed out of her legs.
"We also have the Golden Eagle for her after the Everest."
Sunshine in Paris scored a dynamic first-up win in the Group 2 Sheraco Stakes on Saturday, recording a blistering time 1:08.8s for the Rosehill 1200m even though she was being eased down late by jockey Ryan Maloney.
Sunshine in Paris now becomes the fifth confirmed starter in the Everest after Giga Kick, I Wish I Win, Mazu and Think About It.
